Club Night

Dear Member,

We are pleased that you have joined Hastings Voluntary Lifeguards. We hope that you will enjoy your course and join in lots of other Club activities.

As a club Hastings Voluntary Lifeguards offer an environment that is a safe space for volunteers and members. 

Everyone is expected to respect other members, act in an appropriate manner whilst attending any club activities. 

There will be no tolerance for any form of abuse of any sorts to volunteers or other club members. 

The welfare team at the club are always available for a confidential chat or advice.

 
Weekly sessions
For pool sessions you will be asked to bring clean clothes for swimming in each week. Your trainer will let you know what clothes you need (this depends on the course that you’re completing).

During Club sessions normal pool safety rules apply, e.g. no running on pool side, no diving below 1.5m. Please don’t wear jewellery (due to possible accidents and loss). You will be shown how to complete all skills safely (such as lifting and surface diving to various depths)so please follow your trainers’ guidance.

Health Declaration
We have created the Health declaration because we have a number of members and their family members who are medically vulnerable. This covers the numerous infections that are  circulating – the Club Management Committee would thank you for supporting them in trying to keep all members healthy. Club Sessions -
